Get to know Stichting Achet

Stichting Achet is committed to supporting people with physical or mental disabilities. What defines us is that we started from nothing—without a big plan on paper, but with a strong belief in our mission. That is exactly where our strength lies: building step by step, staying persistent, and finding solutions where others see obstacles.

We believe that everyone should be able to participate in society in their own way—with room to grow, experience joy, and live as independently as possible. That’s why we offer support that feels personal and truly fits the individual. And we believe this: no idea or dream is impossible, as long as you keep believing in it and are willing to keep going.

What we do (national and international)

We help in different ways: through suitable activities and guidance, and when needed, with practical support such as medical aids and equipment. Our work doesn’t stop at the border. In addition to projects in the Netherlands, we also support people and initiatives internationally, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.

To increase our impact, we actively share our knowledge. We give lectures and presentations at colleges and universities, as well as at companies and organizations. There, we show what’s possible when you invest in inclusion, health, and opportunities for people with disabilities—based on real-life experience and current developments.

Collaboration with Ecovrede (EVS)

To expand our impact, we work together with Ecovrede. EVS is a part of Ecovrede and focuses, among other things, on practical support, advice, and backing initiatives that contribute to a sustainable and livable world. This sometimes also includes collecting and forwarding supplies to places where they are most needed, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

To keep expanding these projects and activities, we are looking for sponsors and partners who want to contribute to lasting change. With your support, we can make more resources available, set up more activities, and reach more people—both nationally and internationally.
