Volunteers, partners, and supporters who make Achet possible.
Stichting Achet started with Ziko’s simple but powerful belief: everyone should be able to participate. Through his warm, hands-on approach, he gets people moving, connects families and professionals, and ensures that aids and equipment reach those who need them most.
Thanks to his various studies and his in-depth focus on movement and physical-activity research, Ziko has built broad and up-to-date expertise. His language skills also make it easy for him to connect with people and organizations worldwide. He enjoys thinking along about possibilities across a wide range of themes related to inclusion, care, and participation, and is therefore often seen as an ambassador for people with disabilities in the Netherlands.
Ziko is familiar with different cultures and has lived in several countries. He brings that experience into everything he does. He believes in small, practical steps with big impact—dancing together, learning together, growing together. With his energy and network, he inspires volunteers, partners, and participants to focus on what is possible—both in the Netherlands and beyond.

Mensen met beperkingen begeleiden
"In my work at the hospice, attention, presence, and truly seeing the person are central. The initiatives of Stichting Achet align beautifully with these values: supporting people and being mindful of what is possible in their situation. I find it wonderful how Stichting Achet supports people and contributes to what is possible."

Marko
My name is Marko Slierendregt-van Beest. I am 45 years old and live in Westervoort with my blended family. My son Rowan is 17, and my wife’s sons Jack and Scott are 17 and 15 years old. I work as a transport planner in Nijmegen, and I usually travel there by scooter to avoid traffic jams. I still play football, which I really enjoy and find very sociable. I also like fun outings with the family, watching movies, and on Friday evenings I go salsa dancing.
Chanine
My name is Chanine Slierendregt-van Beest. I am 44 years old and live in Westervoort. That’s also where I met my husband. We have been together for 10 years, and married for 3.5 years. Together we have three children (a blended family): my children are Jack (17) and Scott (15), and Rowan, my husband’s son, is 17.
I have worked at a dental practice in Huissen for 25 years, and recently I transferred to work for the dentist’s son, who is also a dentist, in Herveld.
My hobbies include walking the dog, being outdoors—preferably in the sunshine—and I enjoy creative activities such as macramé, embroidery, coloring, and DIY projects around the house. I also do line dancing and salsa dancing.
Danny Zwart
Software engineer / bouw en onderhoud van de website
I am the owner of the company Triniti Solutions. One of the things we do is create personalized websites for self-employed individuals. We build and maintain the website, allowing them to focus on their business without having to worry about it.
I met Ziko as a cheerful and enthusiastic man. He told me about the foundation, and I saw how much effort and love he put into it. That's why, on behalf of myself and the company, I made a generous donation.
Layla Zwart
Ambulant begeleider
I work one-on-one with children who need extra support. We cook together with the youngsters, and I assist them at school when needed. Additionally, I provide one-on-one puppy training courses. These are not in groups but are instead very personal, with the training fully tailored to your pup.
When I first spoke with Ziko, he immediately began to talk about the foundation. He was so enthusiastic about it. With great passion, he explained all that they do to improve the lives of people with disabilities, not only in the Netherlands but also beyond.
