At Stichting Achet, we are committed to a world where people with physical or mental disabilities can fully realize their potential. We believe that each person has their own unique abilities and potential, regardless of limitations or challenges. Our mission focuses on promoting inclusion, strengthening the community, and warmly supporting those who need it most.
Getting People Moving
True movement goes beyond physical activity; it includes building self-confidence, experiencing joy, and aiding in each individual's personal development. At Stichting Achet, we regularly organize special workshops and classes where movement is central. Our 'Move to Music' sessions provide a safe and friendly environment where participants can enjoy the energetic power of dance and music with their family and friends. These activities not only promote physical health but also give them a boost of self-confidence by focusing on what they can do, rather than what they cannot. Together with friends and family, it's always a big celebration!
Promoting Integration
Everyone deserves a meaningful place in our society. Stichting Achet is dedicated to creating a stimulating and supportive environment in which people with disabilities can equally participate in social activities. Our events and programs are designed to connect people and enhance their independence. We do this by offering educational projects that teach skills and support initiatives aimed at breaking down social barriers. By giving people the opportunity to learn and grow together, we actively work towards a society where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is the norm.
Support with Medical Equipment
We recognize that access to essential tools can significantly improve a person's life. That's why we are committed to making medical aids available to those who financially do not have access. This includes providing much-needed medical materials to hospitals in need and ensuring that materials reach the right places. Our support knows no boundaries – we assist communities in the Netherlands and in Suriname, Bosnia, Ukraine, Brazil, Ghana, and Egypt by providing essential medical care and equipment.
Of course, we don't do this alone. At Achet, we have built a wonderful network of sponsors and supporters who stand ready to assist us where needed. These dedicated people come not only from the Netherlands but also from Belgium, Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
Aside from providing practical support, we focus on offering opportunities. Everyone deserves the chance to pursue their dreams in any way possible. We strive to bring out the best in everyone, aiming to reach communities worldwide and create sustainable changes beyond material support.
